Amnesty International Bear Knitting Project

Looking for your next knitting project? Consider making a bear to support Amnesty International. The Amnesty Bear Project began in 1989 and remains active today. Proceeds from the sale of bears are donated to Amnesty International. We are always in need of knitters. Most bears are made from the same easy knitting pattern that we are happy to provide for free. It is suitable for all levels of knitting skill. You can knit, stuff, and add features or just knit the ‘bear skins’ and we will do the rest. A bear knitting pattern is available upon request.

If you are interested in helping us with this project or have any questions, please email Sister Kathryn at kathryn@ssjd.ca.
