Dear Associates, Oblates, Friends and Visitors to St. John’s Convent,
With heavy hearts we have closed our Guest House as of today and until further notice. We have also closed the Convent to all non-necessary visitors, which means our worship services, in response to directives from the Bishops of Toronto, will not be open to the public. We have a responsibility to our community to assist in “flattening the curve” of this disease, which all citizens have been asked to do. We will post a notice as soon as we are able to open again. Please keep in your prayers all who are affected by this disease – the sick and dying, the health care workers, the self-isolating, their families, the house-bound who have no way to get food, the lonely and frightened, and the scientists and health care researchers seeking for ways to stop the virus.
