A Rule of Life is a guide, a measure, even an aspiration. It is not a book of laws or dos and don’ts. A Rule of Life is more like a Rhythm of life, something keeps us grounded in our Christian Journey. Everyone has a Rule of Life whether they know it or not, whether articulated or not – a daily rhythm that may or may not be helpful to their spiritual growth. But not everyone has an intentional Rule of Life, something that suites their current stage of life and which is flexible enough to change as life circumstances change.
