Inspired by the Quiet Garden Trust of England\, the Sisterhood of St. John’s Quiet Garden Days invite participants to relax\, renew\, and rest in the Convent gardens. Beginning with prayers and guided by the Sisters\, use your time at the Convent to pray\, meditate\, dream\, and commune. Mid-day Eucharist services at noon are followed by silent lunch with the sisters. What may at first sound daunting (eight days without talking!)\, soon becomes liberating\, invigorating and enlightening\, as retreatants settle into themselves and the quiet\, often unseen support of the sacred in their lives. \nAccompanying them on their unique\, surprising way is a trained spiritual director\, skilled in the arts of listening\, encouraging\, and questioning. Once a day\, retreatants release the silence to speak with their directors about what is unfolding.
