What may at first sound daunting (eight days without talking!)\, soon becomes liberating\, invigorating and enlightening\, as retreatants settle into themselves and the quiet\, often unseen support of the sacred in their lives. \nAccompanying them on their unique\, surprising way is a trained spiritual director\, skilled in the arts of listening\, encouraging\, and questioning. Once a day\, retreatants release the silence to speak with their directors about what is unfolding.
