Augustine, Frederick Buechner, and Anne Lamott show that we can discern God’s movement by sifting through the circumstance of our lives and thus see our journey as a pilgrimage.
There are many reasons for spiritual autobiography: understanding God and ourselves better testifying about what God has done in our life, sorting out quandaries that perplex us, healings from wounds.
This retreat will help us consider what matters most to us, so as to take “the presence of the living God seriously and…tell the truth about how God is active in our lives” (Tom Long).
Participants should bring paper or a journal and a pen (pencil etc) to this retreat.
Led By: the Rev. Arthur Boers, an Anglican priest and author. His most recent book is Shattered: A Son Picks Up The Pieces Of His Father’s Rage.
