“We take one breath after another into our heart…” ~ Stephen Levine

We have many losses, sorrows, regrets and changes in our lives. We know the presence of grief after the death of a loved one. Do we give ourselves time to be with our grief? Do we even consider making a home for grief? We might not even allow ourselves to grieve a change to a tradition, a lost job, a lost friendship, a dream that will never be, or the way our life has been affected by the restrictions and changes due to the pandemic. We can learn how to care for the ache in our heart and to do the work with compassion for our grief. Through conversation, listening, and meditation we will begin this work together.

Led By:  Joanne Davies is an Oblate with the Sisterhood of St. John the Divine and a priest in the Diocese of Toronto. Joanne is the Chaplain at St. John’s Rehab and the chair of the Bishop’s Committee on Healing Ministries.
