Guest House and Convent Closed and Retreats Cancelled
This retreat will be rescheduled at a later date

It is with continued heavy hearts that we let you all know that our Guest House and Convent remains closed to non-essential visitors until further notice and that all SSJD retreats up to the end of June are now cancelled. In addition, the Women at the Crossroads program in July has been cancelled.

If you have already registered for any of these retreats, the Guest House office will be in touch with you regarding your deposit.

Please continue to keep in your prayers all who are affected by this disease – the sick and dying, the health care workers, the self-isolating, their families, the house-bound who have no way to get food, the lonely and frightened, and the scientists and health care researchers seeking for ways to stop the virus.

With assurance of our prayers for you.
The Sisters of St. John the Divine

On his path to the Garden of Gethsemane, on the night of his arrest, Jesus left his disciples—his friends—with lasting words of wisdom and promise: “You will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you… Abide in me as I abide in you.” (John 14:20 and 15:4)

During these holy days, we will listen deeply to Christ’s wisdom as we follow the path of centering prayer, a prayer that leads us to a quiet place of abiding with Christ and then sends us out with a greater compassion for all creation. Readings, music, and sacred symbols will inspire our reflections.

The retreat will be led by the Rev. Dr. Pauline Head, retired priest of the Diocese of Niagara and Associate of SSJD.

This retreat will be rescheduled at a later date.
